Managing roles
A role defines a set of operation permissions that restricts what actions a user is allowed to perform. Roles fall into two types:
- Built-in role: The platform has a built-in Administrator role that has all operation permissions on the platform and cannot be edited or deleted.
- Custom role: Roles created by administrators based on business needs, with flexibly configurable permissions.
Creating a custom role
Section titled “Creating a custom role”-
Log in to the Neutree management interface, click Roles in the left menu, then click Create on the right.

Enter the Name for the role. The name cannot be edited after the role is created.

Assign Permissions to the role. Permissions are displayed grouped by functional module. Click the permissions you want to allow for this role. Permissions can be edited after the role is created.

After confirming the configuration, click Save to complete creation.
Viewing roles
Section titled “Viewing roles”Log in to the Neutree management interface and click Roles in the left menu. The role list on the right shows information about all current roles. Click a role name to view its detailed permission configuration.
Editing a role
Section titled “Editing a role”After a role is created, you can modify its permissions as needed.
- Log in to the Neutree management interface, click the menu icon (…) in the role list or details page, and select Edit.
- Modify the configuration as needed. For parameter descriptions, see Creating a custom role.
- After confirming the configuration, click Save to complete editing.
Deleting roles
Section titled “Deleting roles”You can delete one or more roles at a time.
- Log in to the Neutree management interface, click the menu icon (…) in the role list or details page, and select Delete; or select multiple roles in the list and click Delete above the list.
- In the dialog that appears, confirm and click Delete. The selected roles will be permanently deleted.
